６月２９日/先日の日曜日、スパイラルで開催中の石本藤雄展に出掛けて参りました。オープニングにも出掛けましたので２回目でした。何の利害関係もなく、おべっかを使う必要もなく申し上げますが、素晴らしい展覧会でした。展覧会そのものよりも、海外で一人、世界を相手にデザインして来た歴史は、デザイン活動と申し上げるよりも、戦いと言って良いのだと思います。この点、現在給料取りの私が何も申し上げる事もなく、ただただ尊敬の一念であります。正直に申し上げて、最近の身の回りの方々、特に若い頃お世話になった方々の死を思うとき、いつまでもお元気でご活躍下さいということと、是非次回もお会いさせて頂きたいと、心で念じるのが精一杯でした。粟辻先生の次に怖い人であります。

June 29 /I went for Fujio Ishimoto exhibition held by Spiral Garden last Sunday.I participated in an opening.Therefore, it was the second.I expressed lipsalve without need to use without any interest, but this exhibition was a splendid.Not this exhibition itself, the history that he designed for the world may say that it is a fight than expresses it with design activity.It is the activity in foreign countries with only himself, anyway.In this regard, it is only desire of the mere respect for me who am salary collecting talking about anything at the present.When I expressed it honestly and thought about death of recent personal various places (the people who were taken care of particularly when I was youth), it was all I could pray God for a heart when I wanted to think that he will be well forever and play his own creative activity, and to meet him on next time from my heart.He is the person who is fierce next to Mr. Awatsuji for me.

５月２６日/本日、勤め先に参りましたらば、パウダーという大学院生の自主的組織から礼状が届いておりました。４年前、勤め先でco-coreという活動を開始したとき、ココアに対するパウダーとして学生が自主的に申し出て、我々の活動を支えてくれました。その後、変遷があり依然として自主的な活動を続けています。今回は会場を借りることで教員の名前が必要になり協力致しました。その手紙でした。最近は学生の不満を無くすべく、あの手この手で対応致しますが、このようにやりたいことがある若者の支援は必要なのだと感じました。

When I went to the workplace today, a thank-you letter arrived from the voluntary organization of the graduate student called the powder.When we started activity called co-core in a workplace four years ago, a student reported as powder for the cocoa voluntarily and was able to support our activity.There is the change and continues carrying out a still voluntary activity afterwards.The name of the teacher was necessary this time by borrowing a exhibit space and cooperated.It was the thank-you note.We cope by all possible means recently in order to get rid of the dissatisfaction of the student.However, I felt when it was necessary for us to support it wanted to do it still more for graduate student in this way.

５月２２日/久しぶりのダイアリーです。このところ、忙しくてなかなか時間が割けませんでした。来週月曜日から、銀座ギャラリー「巷房」で２週間展示を致します。私はアーティストではありませんので、個展というより専門領域の実験という意味が強いです。本来はもうひとつのギャラリーにてデザイン展同時開催予定でしたが、上手くいきませんでした。いろいろ思惑の違いはありますが、アーティストではありませんので実験としてご覧頂ければと存じます。

May 22 /It is a diary after a long absence.I was busy and was not able to readily spare time recently.From next Monday, I do an exhibition with Ginza gallery “Koubou(means public bunch)” for two weeks.Because I am not an artist, a meaning called the experiment of the specialty domain is strong rather than a　private exhibition.A design exhibition was actually a held plan at the same time in another gallery.However, it was not able to hold it.There is difference between speculating on it, but thinks that you can see this exhibition for an experiment of the designs in various ways because I am not an artist.It speaks the way of thinking for my design on the next time.

「可愛くて小さいものが好きだ」と言うと、表面のみに終始する幼児性のすべてが現れているように受けとる人が多い。にもかかわらず、「かわいい」が一つのブランドとなりえているのは、陰りなきもののうちに、これを無意識と言っていいのだろうか、ただの表面と言いきれないものが見え隠れしているからにちがいない。
表面には奥行きはないが、ある種の階層（ひょっとしたら社会的な？）はあるのかもしれない。これは樫尾聡美の精妙かつ強力な「表面」を見て思ったことだ。

  When I say “I like cute and small things,” people think of all the features of childishness only concerned with superficial appearances. But there is a reason why kawaii (cute? perhaps) can be a brand in itself; something more than appearances is occasionally seen in its ingenuousness which I might be able to describe as unconscious.
 Despite the absence of depth below the surface, there is some kind of　(social?) stratification to be found. This is what came to my mind when I saw the subtle yet powerful ‘surfaces’ created by Satomi Kashio.
