１０月１６日/今朝程、懐かしい話を思い出しました。学生時代のことです。当時、吉祥寺にアパートを借りていた私の楽しみは、週末に集まる友人との遊びでした。街は様々で吉祥寺は勿論、下北沢、福生、渋谷、新宿、自由が丘というのもありました。おっと忘れてはいけない、武蔵小金井というのもありました。そんなある日曜日のこと、三鷹にあったICUという大学の学生と遊んだのです。確か福生にいた知り合いの知り合いが通っており、日曜日の集まりに合流したのだと思います。井の頭公園で野外ランチを摂り、少し腹ごなしにフリスビーなどしてから、ICUのグランドへ出掛けました。皆で野球をしようということになり、ボール、グラブ、バット、ベースを用意しました。様々な国の留学生がおりました。真面目そうな勉強家ばかりです。特に東欧系の留学生は真面目そうなオッサンでした。そのぼさぼさ頭のオッサンが、野球のない国なのに見事にヒットを打ちました。しかも手提げ鞄を持ったまま、片手打ちで。やられたと思い打球を眺めていると、なんとそのオッサン自分の打球を必死で追いかけているのです。アメリカ人の友人が走れ走れと叫んでいるのですが、方向が違います。唖然としていた皆は、それぞれ笑い始めました。腹を抱えて笑いました。今でも、思い出して笑います。笑いは健康に良いといわれます。皆さんは思い出しても、屈託なく腹を抱えて笑える思い出がありますか。そのとき知ったのは、野球を知らない国があるんだという田舎者丸出しの自分の国際感覚でした。でも可笑しかったな、自分の打球を追いかけて外野まで必死に走る。しかも、自分の手提げ鞄を持ったまま、ボサボサのテンパー頭の髪をかき乱し背中を丸めて、突っ込むように。実に必死そのもので、素晴らしいのです。ルールを知らないと何事も 滑稽になりかねませんが、ルールなんてクリエイティブではありません。必死に走っている姿が、笑いを誘ったのです。必死を笑うという手法は古くから笑いの極意のように使われますが、それが嫌みに映るテレビ番組は多いです。笑えるのはごく少数です。現実にも笑って良いタイミングと笑ってはいけない状況があります。ただ只、人の必死を笑えば良いということでもありません。しかし、時間が経ちましたが、朝から思い出し笑いを堪えるのに必死です。
October 16 /In this morning, I remembered a good old story.When I was school days.My pleasure that used an apartment of Kichijoji was play with the friend who gathered on the weekend in those days.There were various town, Shimokitazawa, Fussa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Jiyugaoka, not to mention Kichijoji.Oops there was Musashikoganei that you must not forget.It is a certain such Sunday,I played with the student of the university called the ICU which there was in Mitaka.The acquaintance of the friend who was in reliable Fussa goes in ICU and thinks that they joined a gathering of Sunday.We went to the ground of the ICU since it consumed an outdoor lunch in Inokashirakoen and did Frisbee for some digestion.It would say to play baseball together and prepared for a ball, a glove, a bat, a base.There was the foreign student of various countries there.It is only the hard worker who seems to be serious.The foreign student of Eastern Europe in particular origin was the old bird who seemed to be serious.Though the old bird of the unkempt head was from the country without the baseball, he made hit wonderfully.He had a brief case, and it is single closing a bargain, besides.When I thought that I had it stolen and looks at the batted ball,oh boy, the old bird was running after his batted ball desperately.An American friend shouts to him, “Run, and run”, but the direction is different.Everybody who was dumfounded has begun to laugh each.We held our sides and laughed.I remember it and still laugh.The laughter is said to be good for health.Even if the all of you remember it, is there a memory you hold your sides without worry, and to be laughable?What I knew then it was my international sense of the countryman full exposure to have the country which did not know baseball.But it was funny, he run in pursuit of his batted ball desperately to the outfield.With having had one’s brief case, besides,he disturbs his hair of an unkempt natural curls head, and round a back,look like a head straight.In inevitable death itself, it is really splendid.Nothing may become funny when you do not know a rule, but a rule is not creative.The figure which ran desperately tempted a laughter.The technique to laugh at desperation is used like the secret of the laughter for a long time, but there are many TV programs which it looks disagreeable.It is extremely few to be laughable.There are the timing when you may laugh and the situation that you must not laugh at practically.But it is not only to laugh at the making desperate efforts of the person.However, time passed, but I hold inevitable death to bear a private joke from morning.
