１１月１７日/水平の影は人工物でないとなかなか出来ません。もう銀杏の葉っぱも落ちました。この撮影で、葉っぱの海に乗り出したら靴の底が臭くなって車の中は変な匂いです。皆様、気をつけてください。本日は染工所の立ち会いでしたが、先方の予定で先になりました。このところの雨は、気が滅入ります。明日はロジャー夫妻が帰って参ります。チャールズ・イームズのパワー・オブ・テンを読んでいたら夕方になってしまいました。これから５月の展示に向けて構想に入ります。如何相成りますことやら。

１１月１８日/終日、勤め先にてミーティングや授業で忙しい一日でした。それでも待ち時間の間に多少のメール発送や調査、文献探しを致しました。今年も２年生の講評会を校舎の外で行いました。お天気が快晴のため青空の下、奇麗な布地が広がりなかなかの見応えでした。つくづく表層が演出する空気感は、壮大ではありました。仕事を終えて、帰宅すると玄関に面白いメモがありました。We have guests who wants meet you.何のことか分からずに事務所に行くと、ロジャーの旧友達が集まっていました。聞いてみると、ロジャーとシルビアが東京に帰って来たのですが、その後、出掛けてしまい待ち続けているとのことでした。やっと帰って来たらしく、会えたのでワインをとチーズを振る舞いました。
November 18 /I am busy with a meeting and a class daylong in a workplace; all day.I still did some email shipment and investigation, search for documents during waiting time.I performed the comment of the second grader this year outside a school building.A beautiful piece of cloth opened under the blue sky because of beautiful weather, and it was quite good comment session worth seeing.The atmosphere that the surface design directed utterly was magnificent.When I finished work and came home, there was an interesting memo in the entrance hall.We have guests who wants meet you.When I went to the office without understanding what it was, old friends of Roger gathered.When I asked people who gathered, Roger and Silvia returned to Tokyo, but they went out afterwards and seemed to wait on.At last they seem to have returned, and we treated to cheese with wine because everybody was able to meet.
１１月１９日/今朝は早く自宅を出て、近くのホテルでリムジンバスにロジャーとシルビアを乗せました。二人と抱き合い、分かれました。先日、来日したばかりですが、もう帰国ということになってしまいました。慌ただしい帰国でしたが、彼等らしい出発でした。また、近々お会いしたいものです。その後、勤め先に直行致しましたらば早すぎて誰もいませんでした。午後から３年生の授業をして、軽いミーティングをして帰宅致しました。最近は３年生の進路相談に入りましたが、世間の状況を反映してなかなか厳しい状況のようです。こんな時代は自分がやりたいことを考えることが大事だと思います。何故なら、本来は美術を志す者があまり他者の言うことを聞きすぎても何をしているのか分からなくなります。主体性を失った人間ほど路頭に迷うものはありません。信じるべきことや、やるべきことは簡単には見つかりません。悩みは大きいと思いますが、千里の道も一歩からという格言は使い古されたようで新しくもあります。先ずは一歩一歩ということでしょうか。
