６月１２日/只今、此処、確信は何処にもないかも知れない。だから必死になる。先日、海外のコンペの会場で会った哲学者ペッカ・ヒマネンは、「情報社会と福祉国家」フィンランド・モデルという本を書いている。彼は２０歳でヘルシンキ大学哲学博士号を得ている俊才だ。先日、お会いしたときも秋に日本に行く、出版社とのミーティングだと言っていました。社会学者という肩書き表記のある情報もあり、どちらが正しいか定かではない。かなりダイエットした様子で、太った豚でなく痩せたソクラテスという風情だった。握手の感触はひんやりした手で、かなり情熱家なのかも知れないと思った。一方、同じ審査に参加したヴォッコさんは厳つそうに見えて、なかなか柔らかい手であった。思い出に残る、握手は幾つかある。悔しかった握手、暖かい握手、相手の拒否感覚が伝わって来る握手、力なく別れを告げる握手。それぞれに深い思いはあった。次回の最終審査までに彼の本２冊を読んでしまおう。社会学者と言われる所以は、ハッカーとネット社会の倫理を取り上げたり、上記「情報社会と福祉国家」について書いているせいではないのか。そう云えば彼が真っ先に取り上げたファイナリストのデザインコンセプトは社会性のあるものだった。もちろん多くの支持を得た事は言うまでもない。彼の対話形式の本Him ErosはHimeros。ソクラテスの奥さんの話に言及してヘルシンキアンと比較しているようです。Now HereとHim Eros、どちらも語呂合わせ。『telic mode からparatelic modeへ』、駄洒落的変化が英語にあるなんて知らなかった。
