八重桜を見ると、長谷川久蔵作といわれる智積院の障屛画を思い出す。言い換えれば我が師、粟辻博先生を思い出す。件の智積院の障屛画は狂気に満ちていて、圧巻だ。描かれている桜の花びらが白く盛り上げられている。しかも全て正面を向いて異様な空気を醸し出している。初めて見たときは、戦慄して震えた。なんとかあの狂気を表現したいと、幾度もチャレンジしたが平凡な私には無理だと悟った。桜は時として人を狂気に駆り立てるらしい。それを表現するのは、一筋縄ではいかない。その障屛画を見る為に、師匠は京都日帰りをしたらしい。京都生まれの師匠らしいエピソードだ。青い空に八重桜。奇麗な風景だが、狂気を感じた。

I remember the painting on a folding screen of the Chisyaku-in temple to be said to be a work of Kyuzo Hasegawa when I watch a double cherry blossom.In other words, I remember my teacher, Mr. Hiroshi Awatsuji.The painting on a folding screen of the Chisyaku-in temple is full of insanity and is overwhelming presence.Drawn cherry blossom petals are heaped up white.Besides, all flowers turn to the front and bring on strange atmosphere.When I looked for the first time, I shuddered and shook.I challenged it some times, but realized that it was impossible for me who was ordinary to do it somehow when I wanted to express about that.The cherry tree seems to occasionally drive a person to crazy world.It is very difficult to deal with to express it as for me.The teacher seemed to take some travels to Kyoto and back in a day to watch the painting on a folding screen.It is the episode only by my teacher who was born in Kyoto.It is the scene just a double cherry blossom in the blue sky.It was beautiful scenery, but I felt something like miracle.
